Door to door cookie dough? Wtf?
I've been robbed on several drug deals but I wouldn't consider that being scammed. Just didn't feel like arguing with the guy that had s gun in my face

Restaurant in Budapest charged us $1k/ bottle for two bottles of local wine, then strong armed us into paying by posting giant Hungarians at the doors.
We told the GM at the four seasons what happened and that their concierge sent us there. The next night, there was a paper bag of cash waiting for us at the front desk that was delivered by the restaurant.

Yep, it took her 18 years to set me up... then broke off a bamboo pole-vault pole half way up, hand grips in. My attorney is still finding hits of several thousand dollars each she syphoned from accounts during the last 3 years.

Guy approached a bunch of us kids hanging out and said he needed a ride to a town about 45 miles away. Said his girlfriend worked at the hospital there, and he would get $20 from her to pay for gas. My buddy and I were just hanging out and drinking beer, and he agreed to give the guy a ride.
We arrived, the guy went in the hospital to get the money from girlfriend, and .... you guessed it ... we never saw him again.
We didn't really give a shite. All we were going to do was cruise and drink anyway.

Yep, I bought $80 worth of powdered sugar one time in Nola that would hardly fill up a thimble. Another time some kid talked me into buying 2 yearly subscriptions to magazines. I bought them and never received a single issue. One more time that I'm not going to share the details about...

We were warned by bars like this, usually ran by Albanians or Russians, when we were in Budapest.
In Prague it cost me nearly what would be $100 in Czech currancy for a cab ride from the train station to my hotel. He got me good because he saw I was a tourist with a map and suit case and figured I was not familiar with the Czech Koruna.
Also, on same trip I was charged $1500 on my Amex at this bar. I figured the bill should have been $150 tops and they added another 0 Accidentally. Amex fixed the issue instantly even without an investigation.

A buddy of mine got scammed out of $1500 trying to buy a motorcycle off of BR craigslist.
I was tempted to say "You're an idiot, I would've never fallen for that", but damn it seemed super legit when I saw the exchange.
I'll give details if anyone interested, otherwise it's not really worth typing out.

The wifes grandmother camethisclose to getting scammed. Somebody called her up claiming to be her grandson, called her by her name, and said he and his wife (also called by correct name) had been arrested and needed bail money, and to not call his parents. Someone then came on claiming to be "officer jones" and gave instructions on "how to pay".
They wanted the money paid by prelaid debit cards.
She legit freaked out.
