Evangeline bread made in Laffy? I've seen it in Calandro's in BR.

Is Evangeline bread that much better than the other white breads, or are the Laffy posters over hyping it?

Yes, Evangeline made will change your life.

Of course, I don't eat it because we need wheat shite in our house.

Wheat bread is horrible. It makes you not want bread. Maybe that's a good thing.

Love Evangeline maid bread. We used to get it from a store in Maringouin when my dad used to work out there.

I believe the AG store in Livonia might sell it.

Anybody remember this brand?

It was gone by the time I can recall (late '70s)

I feel like it used to be much better. It has this weird chemical taste and smell now.

I grew up on it. It's better quality than Wonder and other mainstream brands. It has that chewy, fresh awesomeness you need in a bread.

Bunny Bread > Evangeline Maid

Homemade sourdough beats them both, though.

Its the best store bought sliced loaf money can buy. Its better than Wonder, Bunny,Blue Ribbon etc. If anyone says otherwise its because they don't have Evangeline Maid.
