Read this earlier. I say the OT takes action and spams this writer's email

Being gay is what got him elected. Oh, wait, the current student president of the school is black.

For not reporting the truth on social issues. It's right in line with Nazism

I didn't say any of that. I was merely saying that rich effectively means privilege. Nothing more nothing less.

No mention of the attempts to shut out journalism students. No mention of Jonathan Butler coming from a lot of money. No mention of the lack of evidence of these supposed racial incidents.
No mention of the fact that 5 of 9 members of their student council are black. No mention that the president, elected by thousands of his peers, is a openly gay black man. If you were the Chancellor of a University that had thousands of their peers elect this amount of diversity into their leadership, would you ever think for a second that you weren't successful at promoting a diverse student body?
This has to be the most insane thing I've ever heard. A shite swastika? Don't you think that someone would have photographed that? That someone would yell down the hallway and people from multiple floors would have come down to see the shite swastika? Plus that clown lies about the KKK being on campus and to stay away from the windows, and then blame everyone else when he's caught in the lie.
Sorry, but as more people start to actually remotely think of the insanity behind this and actually look at facts, then these scumbags will be called out being for the hypocritical lying sacks of shite they really are. While it will be hard to ruin the multi-"underprivileged" millionaire's life, we could probably ruin a career of the gay black student body president and that Click bitch. If they want to play that game, then they shouldn't be surprised when they get the same thing in return.

Yeah, this guy didn't grow up on MLK Street. Dad has a fricking mansion. He's about as 'street' as Obama.

If a cop or a cashier is shitty to me as a white guy, I think that is a shitty person. Same thing happens to you 10 minutes later and it is racism.
Not really a good analogy. There really are cops and cashiers out there who don't like black people so it's reasonable for a black person who has such an experience to wonder.

Why do you keep mentioning that as if it's relevant? He never lied about it or anything. Do you just hate rich people? Do you burn lower case letter "t"s on people's front lawns to let those richers know it's "time to leave"?
Because he claimed part of the reason he was hunger striking was because of the increase of graduate school healthcare costs, as if he was the victim of all this. This guy is an a-hole, his father is worth tens of millions, and I even doubt the piece of shite was actually starving himself and doubt his father would allow him to go through with that. It's entirely relevant to his so-called "victim" and "privileged" mentality.
Check my white privilege? If you told me I could make 7 million dollars a year just by being black, every white male would take that in a fricking heartbeat. Check your privilege first, you a-hole. (Not to the poster, but to Butler).

But his families wealth has very little to do with the situation at Mizzou.
Actually...it's very relevant to the situation considering he and his supporters were calling for Wolfe to out himself as possessing white privilege, while, at the same time, the symbolic leader of their movement is worth millions more than Wolfe.
When your family is worth over $20 million I just don't see the difference between white privilege and straight up privilege. But I'm a middle class white man so I guess I am ignorant of the struggle.

It would be hard as I resigned from my job.

It's not a good analogy. However, as a teller at the bank during college, I was called a racist weekly when I required two pieces of ID for a non-customer to cash their paycheck. Unfortunately, black people have to discern motivation more in certain situations than white people. I get that I have a leg up in that department as a white person.
On the other side of the token, the bank shouldn't lower the standard for black people as to not hurt their feelings. That would leave the bank open to risk.
It's really quite simple.

It's insanity. You can't stand-up and use "privileged" when you're worth that much. Who is treated better when he enters a room: Kanye West or a random white guy with the net worth of $20,000 who just minds his own damn business and doesn't do anything? It's a nonsense argument coming from a guy with this net worth in college since no one bullies a kid who has a father worth 40 million dollars. He just has a fantasy world where people paint shite swastikas and just because a few students on campus use the N-word on occasion means he's a victim. frick him completely.

But I'm not sure why you'd think white privilege ONLY pertains to wealth.

Well, in fairness he doesn't need to be personally harmed to stand up for others. I'm outraged by the "essential" coverage requirements in Obamacare, which caused tens of thousands of people to lose their coverage. I landed on my feet because I was eligible to join a sharing ministry, but there are others out there who didn't have that option and got screwed as a result. There's no reason I can't be outraged because of what happened to them.
Where Butler is an idiot on the healthcare issue is that his own side of the political aisle is at fault for the skyrocketing healthcare costs. But that's a separate issue from being a trust fund kid and still being upset about the increase.

For as much as you complain about how much ESPN sucks, you sure do give them a lot of page views.

Butler has the right to protest even with wealth privileges. The problem I have with him is his demand for Wolfe to admit his white privilege. Maybe that is because I believe Wolfe should live or die based on his MERIT as a president of the university. Have him admit to what he did wrong.
