Equality: When Feminism Logic Goes Wrong

Warning: This is a fairly long post so please bear with me.

I was talking with my girlfriend yesterday and I brought up the recent expansion among the Power 5 conferences in Division I to provide full scholarship coverage to their student-athletes.

I remarked that the system would ultimately fail for most institutions because of the lack of revenue generated by sports outside the big three (football, basketball, and baseball) and in particularly women's athletics.

She then states that society should abolish the gender classification in sports and athletics anyway. I reply, "Well then women will never be able to participate in sports."

She retorts, "Why not?", to which I say "Because men are genetically superior in terms of athletic potential."

She proceeds to tell me that the only reason that men are "superior" is because of intended breeding over the history of civilization. She directly alluded to the intentional decision to not value strength (literal) in women and therefore to not place a high priority in mating with strong women.

I politely pointed out that I disagreed with her assertion (although I really thought it was absolute bullshite).

I said, "Baby, women are incapable of achieving the maximum athletic potential of males because of genetic composition and the lack of certain hormones which directly impact muscle growth, aggression, and performance."

The straw that broke the camel's back was her argument that society once thought that black people weren't equals and look how that turned out...

Keep in mind, she is graduating from the Honor's College with two degrees, two minors, and is enrolling in LSU Law this fall. She is not an idiot by any means.

With that being said, how can someone be so dense?
