And this is basically the most lopsided it will ever be for the women, and they barely outearn the men.

I find it interesting that you would bring up the WNBA in a soccer thread.
That was not his point
The point is earnings are based on overall revenue brought in
The US Men's still bring in more money which is why they get more money. I can understand the girls wanting more money but it will never be on the level as the men until they bring in the same types of revenue.

The men in a level of competition vastly beyond what the women's team plays in. You stupid, ignorant hack. The USWNT has funding and access to facilities and training way beyond most of their competition. Thrashing a Thai team that is under the patronage of an insurance executive with players that are also company employees is not quite the same as playing against teams with heavy government backing and drawing on a huge domestic talent pool. USMNT is playing against Brazilian players that are practically national heroes, playing against teams where national talent and funding is deep. The USWNT is playing against teams that are often little more than second thoughts. Such a stupid argument from you but with your level of ignorance and poor education it's typical.
Would you like to add something relevant to the conversation now or continue with talking points that have no actual impact on the situation?

equal play
one team, best players, any of the 37 genders

You also have to consider that some of the men could choose to play for another country, or choose not to play internationally if they felt the compensation wasn’t worth the risk of getting injured and not being able to play for club. The men don’t NEED the income from USSF although I’m sure it’s nice. Their main paycheck comes from their club and they can’t risk that for pennies.
The women have no other choice.

So we should compare men’s and women's revenue on a global scale for FIFA, but “no not at all” for men’s and women’s revenue in America for the only people that sign their paychecks?
One is under the control of the "people that sign their paychecks," one is not

You're not too good at following a conversation, huh?

Except sometimes they aren't.

Another excellent point that will largely be ignored

quote:Exactly. It has nothing to do with revenue. This isn’t a difficult concept

I’d pay more for the employee that brings in basically the same revenue in much less time tbh
Posted on 7/7/19 at 5:47 pm to KirkLazarus
If they’re so popular, shouldn’t the women be raking in endorsement deals left and right more so than their male and mostly unknown Mens’s National Team counterparts and thus making more than the men?

Going against some of these Caribbean and Central American teams with something to prove on their home turf shouldn’t be taken lightly when your livelihood depends on staying healthy.

That's changing in Europe and Europe will pass the USWNT soon because they are becoming much more serious about the sport. The Europeans have already passed the Americans in U17 competition. The Netherlands had never even qualified for the WC before 2015 and in 2019 they make it to the finals.
So we can look forward to both the men's and women's team being consistently beaten by the European's soon.
