Compressor blew up at Shell Norco years ago with devastating effects.

It's bad stuff.

It is extremely carcinogenic.

It's basically like dipping yourself in liquid cancer.

It happened before lunch, so everyone here is running around rummaging food like it's the apocalypse and they'll never eat again. It's kinda amusing

Do NOT come between a plant baw and his food. That’s a one way ticket to becoming a victim of cannibalism

This is the administration building, so it's people who leave for lunch everyday. It's pretty funny

I said plant baw, not operator. Starvation doesn’t give a shite about your title. But yeah those sneaky admins will jack your to go box with a quickness.

Head on a swivel Dong.

EO, PO, and BO are some of the scariest chemicals to work around, imo.

That's what I thought.

Phosgene is, amirite?

I have close kin that works with EO and another with MDI.

I’ve worked in an MDI plant for the last 12.5 years we don’t use EO or PO. We use CO to make phosgene. The only plus to working at an MDI plant is no highly volatile gases.

You use EO/PO in polyols, not for phosgene.

We don’t use polyols. MDA + phosgene = MDI. No polyols in MDA.

And MDI+Polyols=Polyurethane, the whole reason for making MDI.

Your unit might not have EO, but that facility almost certainly does. I've never heard of an MDI plant that doesnt.
