I’ve had our thermostats set on 70 degrees for as long as I can remember. The only time either is touched is in the spring and fall when you have to go between heat & cool. I don’t care what time of year it is, 70 is comfortable.

Covid and WFH taught me that it really didn't make a noticeable difference in our power bill to just never adjust it vs turning it up when we leave or programming it.

I just leave ours on 71 pretty much year around.

I'm a tall and thin skinny fricker. It the temp gets below 75 or so i need a hoodie. Replacing both units last January made a huge difference. I'm comfortable and my bills are almost half of the previous equipment.

This is going to become more common. Generation deployment is about to get kicked in the nuts with this new tax bill.

I wish. My ac won’t get below 78 in the dead of summer. New unit too. Oh well, it could be way worse I know. Loathe summer tho.

How the hell does Entergy have rolling blackouts?

Louisiana has barely grown at all in the last 30 years. It’s comparatively easy to keep up with demand.

These guys are useless.

Louisiana has one of the highest per capita energy consumptions in the country. Mostly driven by industrial.
