No physical assessments yet. They can’t get out to look until it passes. These will probably need to be inspected by air so I’m sure it’ll be tomorrow before anyone really knows.

I was wondering the same thing. Does the Entergy Nine Mile plant power Nola? Is that where things went wrong?

Idk how to post pictures, but here in moss bluff after Laura, they were mangled. If it’s anything comparable, prepare to be out of power around 27 days…

I think Nola is powered by Waterford 3 in Hahnville.

Is this unprecedented? How long of a time vector for this to get fixed

These lines should be attached to the underside of the Huey p long bridge not strung across. These companies have no common sense. Where is good government

That’s correct. No lines are up to feed Waterford right now so they can’t generate.

No it happens in a lot of big storms. Worst I’ve seen was Maria and the dual line from Ponce to San Juan.

Temp fix could be up in a week or so if it’s not too bad. But these are typically pretty catastrophic failures. It’s rarely one tower that sustains damage. Those heavy lines frick up a few up and down stream too.

Thanks, I had no idea New Orleans was powered by a nuclear plant. What areas dies Nine Mile supply?

You don't think the Huey P. Long Bridge would be improved by attaching live, 115,000 volt wires?
