I have two units for my home.
I experimented with this last summer because I'm here alone a lot and want to keep the bills low.
I was surprised at how cool the side of the house was at 78. Reason being is that the AC is going to pretty much stay on all day regardless during the summer. I work in the warmest area of the house too. My bill went from 400mo to 225mo instantly. I keep the side of the house I sleep in at 70 at night now. Used to keep it at 65. AC still runs most of the night at 70 and it is cold in the mornings.

73 upstairs unless we are sleeping then 70.
downstairs main living area is at 73 all the time.
