England School bans bags, so boy protests by carrying books in a microwave

The school stated that ‘injury was being caused to younger students’ because of ‘ever-larger bags’ being carried on their shoulders.

Instead they are being encouraged to carry books by hand between lessons. Previously bags were not allowed in years 7 to eleven, but until this year were allowed for sixth formers. Jacob staged a silent protest by using a wicker basket and a microwave to make a point after a petition was started.

He ended up being suspended for two days after he refused to hand over his mobile phone which he used to keep his mother Tracy updated about his ‘treatment’. She said: ‘I think Jacob’s protest has been very peaceful and I believe he should have his say.
quote:
‘At the end of the day, I believe in freedom of speech and so I’m very proud of him for standing up for something he believes in. Microwave or no microwave' said Jacob's mom.

This is the most English story if I've ever heard one

It's a good thing he wasn't protesting Muslims raping little girls

Schools setting policies is nothing like the nanny state.

Its obviously not government sanctioned but it's a nanny state mindset when looking at the reason for the ban.

No. No it’s not.
Kids being hurt is not nanny state.
It is pointless to engage with someone that doesn’t know the basic facts.

Common sense bag control.
We are passing the event horizon.

You go to prison in England if you don't support Muslims raping and grooming little girls.

This kid had to carry 9 - 15 pounds without a bag every 50 minutes because of a few litigious whiners.
Instead of helping the kid carry books more efficiently, his parents suggested/supported an unnecessary disruption, took pictures, and shared his image with the whole world. He is now obligated to continue inexplicable dumbarse responses to things he doesn’t like or understand.
If the school won’t tolerate book bags there is a reason beyond their control, like lawsuits for out of shape kids carrying things heavier than an iPad. The parents should give the boy some damn paracord and instruct him to bind his books and make use of his pockets. Good Lawd this is a young man being totally ruined.
This is what happens when adults are too busy with Instatwit Facecrapping to teach their children to tie proper knots.

He’d definitely be a successful Louisiana politician, having been taught to cook the books since childhood.

Please refer to the backpack thread from last week.
England has come to their senses and realized that backpacks are gay not only in a business setting but school as well and has initiated the backpack ban.
Kudos to the England, first the Brexit, now the backpack ban. We could learn a lot from these crumpet sniffing, tea baggers.
