You could have buried $2MM into the market in 1978 and turned it into ~$200MM today, but that's still less than 10% of Trump's estimated net worth.

Yes, I realize $2 million is what? Almost 1% of $3B?

Where is this narrative germinating from?

Trump took over his Father's estimated 200 million dollar well oiled real-estate machine, with a personal stake that would of been estimated to be worth 40 million for him at the time. Fred Trump was one of the wealthiest people in America.

Trump's major success came from leveraging that position at his father's real estate business with his braggadocio branding ability, that allowed him to secure loans and take risks with other people's money. Sometimes doing very well like with the Plaza Hotel, sometimes having to go back to daddy like with his failed casino, where Fred attempted to bail him out to the tune of millions.

Trump has certainly been a highly successful businessman when you weigh the successes and failures. How much help he got explicitly and implicitly, and how successful he actually is will be a mystery because I am sure many remember, he hasn't been willing to release his taxes and financial history to the public. To call him some modest means to riches story is a gross distortion of the record though. And I guess I just don't know why people stretch the truth so much when it comes to Trump's life narrative, because by most objective standards, Trump has still been very successful.

Is this thread where a bunch of people who listened to Eminem for years now claim he's irrelevant because he made fun of God emperor?

No this is the thread where people point out the hypocrisy with Eminem when he calls Trump "racist" to appease the same crowd that'd label him a homophobe for using "****" or "homo" as a pejorative in his songs and also label him sexist for singing about violence against women and calling women "bitch".

The SJWs will come for him eventually.

I listen to a lot of rap and had no idea Eminem was releasing a new album. I’m sure sitting down and analyzing his lyrics were real high on trumps to do list

It's been in the news that Eminem was bashing him. If Fox & Friends starts talking about it, I guarantee he'd be tweeting about it inside 30 seconds.

This is actually a good point.

There's no way Eminem makes it big if he starts in 2016. He'd be eaten alive.

They’d get him for “cultural appropriation” and every “phobia” and “-ism” in the book.

I bet he’s even said ****** a time or two.

Eminem is still upset Trump didn’t respond to his rant. The man who responds to everything ignores you. That has to sting lol

That's exactly why Trump never responded to him. They've met before and Trump understands that some people like Eminem can't handle being ignored.

It's almost magical to watch him self destruct.

I feel like part of his lyrics from one of his songs were relevant here.

That always struck me as weird about Eminem. He always chose targets that wouldn't hit back: will Smith, Moby, the FCC.

While Tupac was feuding with an entire coast, Eminem chose to go after the "get jiggy with it" guy. I think that was strategic

He talked about people that made comments about him on Carson Daily’s TRL Show.

He just pandered to his base of fans.

Trump is a master manipulator. His silence is hurting Marshall Mathers more than anything else could.

I thought he made his bones being badass at freestyle rapping?

He's already Trump's bitch for putting so much thought into a response from the president that he is so hoping to get. "White guilt" problems.
