If I was a coder and working at Twitter, I'd be thrilled with this predicament. He fired all the Woke pricks in the building, the spoiled kombucha trust fund kids are all gone, and I'd have an immediate opportunity for upper management. This is a hell of an opportunity for anyone that is competent and a hard worker.

shite, I'm one of about 30 SAP functional architects and we have about 15 ABAPers. I feel like we spend half our time tripping over each other's changes. I couldn't imagine change management when you are looking at THOUSANDS of developers.

1.) You gonna need more than 40 to rewrite/manage this

2.) How the various components communicate together, how everything scales globally, and all the related components is where complexity builds
Was Twitter bloated? Absolutely. Much of the big 5 are. The old regime was also cutting staff. But I get the impression some of you think this can be scaled down to a few dozen Musk/MAGA baw engineers and Musk shitposting in the corner and not miss a beat. I don’t think that will cut it…
