He has them pulling their hair out over the “state sponsored media” stuff. In reality, he could add many more to NPR and BBC.

I don’t care for Musk one way or the other. I just don’t understand the people that find this stuff funny. I mean, it may be funny by middle school standards but it’s just kind of lame.

I think a group of banks/PE shops put up a few billion. But I guess it’s possible they’ve been paid back/bought out.

It’s pretty silly.
His problem is that he could get away with it when he was doing truly awesome things. Mass producing the Model 3 and Y was awesome. The early success with SpaceX was awesome. The Boring company looked really promising.
As of today, it has been a while since he’s done something truly awesome (I guess Twitter is TBD but doubtful considering the price). Tesla owners still don’t have FSD…and some people bought it like 7 years ago. Still no cyber truck. He said SpaceX was supposed to be sending a manned mission to Mars in 2024 a couple years ago. Crickets.
Maybe if he spent more time doing the things that made him who he is and less time acting like he’s 14, people wouldn’t be so annoyed with him.

I have seen an interview where he stated that he did not believe that mankind would get to Mars in his lifetime, but he is trying to lay the groundwork for it to happen eventually.
