Hell no, they ain’t going to take my tech job. Get ‘em out!

if you’re worth a shite at your job an H1B will never take it. 99% of them are only good for grunt work. I’ve worked IT for 17 years for two Fortune 100s.

I worked in Bangalore for about 7 months and man, Indians aren’t that smart. Very good at memorization but terrible critical thinkers. And this is not a generalization. It’s the way they were educated growing up through uni.
That, and full of shite and borderline abusive if you promote them into management.

They don’t want to be American and that lies the entire problem

They want the perks of becoming an American citizen, it’s just the whole giving up loyalty to any other country that causes a problem.

McKinsey can't find American born accountants?
Evercore can't find American born financial analysts?
There aren't enough American born Karens so Pepsi has to hire an indian?
I bet I can find 3000 Americans that match what Deloitte is looking for out of the H1B employees.

The MAGA/Elon split happened quicker than I would have thought to be honest. At some point, (honestly we are probably past that point) people have to decide if they would rather preserve their culture/nationality/safety/way of life, or prioritize feeding the unending corporate beast to maximize shareholder value and profit margins; a huge part of which is importing cheap foreign workers that either don’t believe in it or actively fight against (see Europe) our values. I’m for the former.

When I was in 1st grade I got bussed to the local high school to take algebra and calculus. I was just gifted in math. I got a perfect ACT score and perfect math section SAT score. Scholarship offers to schools like Rice and Tulane.

You're talking about the market that is artificially weighted due to importing cheap foreign labor?
Huh?
How can it be artificially weighted by adding supply?

Because the supply you're adding wouldn't be allowed to work those jobs without the government allowing it.
The H1B program is meant to fill voids that CANNOT be filled by americans. In practice, that is very very obviously NOT what is happening.

Fair enough.

I’m not sure why you’re trying to argue with me when I’ve already said exactly that. American companies can and should find American employees to do this work, they won’t.

Calculus while learning algebra, apparently. The bookends of high school math at the same time.

And who was the better alternative in this election?
