There are a lot of supplies pouring into western NC/eastern TN. However, it’s difficult to get them to some the hardest hit rural areas because of washed out roads and whatnot. People have started using private helicopters to take supplies in (for instance, former NASCAR driver Greg Biffle has a small helicopter and has been using it to take supplies in). Now there are reports that FEMA and the FAA have been blocking at least some of the use of private helicopters to deliver supplies. I can’t speak to how valid those reports are or exactly what the situation is.
I heard of one place asking people to stop sending supplies for a couple of days simply because they had received so much that they needed time to sort what they had and get it handed out before they could take anymore donations.

I haven't done that. Even in this thread I haven't done that. I have said that the overwhelming majority of what people have raged about is wrong, and not just wrong, but complete and total bullshite.
