If she accepted the act, she wouldn't consider what the kid is doing wrong.

Sure, but that isn't the current situation. Most parents love kids who do stuff wrong, in our eyes. Many times "wrong" is subjective. As parents, you accept your child as they are, faults (or perceived faults) and all.

That's why I said earlier that we seem to be arguing semantics at this point.

They accept their child, but they don't accept the act IMO. They tolerate it because they love their child, whereas they sound like they'd be much less likely to tolerate it if it weren't someone they love who was gay.
