Effective tomorrow all elective surgical cases will be canceled. Just got word. FYI

This is clearly discrimination against those that are wanting to transition.

Who does this blanket? Public hospitals only? Privately owned practices?

Many hospitals have already cancelled elective surgeries. Also the definition of what an “elective” surgery is can be unclear.

This is being recommended nationwide FYI
It’s to conserve PPE because we are critically short nationwide
ETA: also to conserve ventilators in case elective case has complications

My dick enlargement surgery is vital for my quality of life. "Elective", my arse.
I don't give a shite if my entire medical team gets infected with SuperEbolaRona...the show is going on!

We canceled all of ours yesterday.
We told pts we would contact them in 30 days for an update.
It'll probably be longer than that before they're opened back up.

This was recommended by the surgeon general last week. However it started this week in the NOLA area

It's also to keep hospital beds open and available.

Gf's hospital cancelled them all and told all doctors 60 and up not to come into work until April.

Haven’t got a call yet, but it was expected. I was scheduled March 31 in Lafayette for an elective surgery that must be performed at LGMC with a 1-2 night stay.

The wife came home last night and said she will start seeing her patients via doxy.me Telemedicine meetings....her clinic is postponing all elective surgeries due to try and not fill up the hospital beds if they dont have to

Gonna be interesting to see what surgeries are defined as “elective”
