There is no fricking correlation to gun violence and video games. Maybe we're should look at the shitty parents instead?

But this kid had a AK47 he’s 21 years old. How did he get it?
That's the same age to buy any long arm.

The age limit should be raised and there should more requirements.
What requirements you propose?

Ah the “video games are evil” crowd finally makes their appearance

I don't even know if I'm for stricter gun laws. We just simply need a change cause what we have now doesn't work. If we can get that without getting more strict, perfect. I'm all for it cause I dont think an outright ban is the right answer

I made one: put a reasonable age limit on personal ownership of firearms. I said 25 years old. I think that's reasonable, for kids in the city / suburbs.
These attacks by disaffected, unattached young men have nothing to do with me. Leave me the frick alone, and take the guns away from the kids.
All that said, I don't think there's a real problem here beyond what's inherent to life in a free society. To argue otherwise is media sensationalism.

You fricking nailed it.
Politicians know they just can't jump straight to a gun ban. Political suicide.
But they do know if they can gradually advance to that goal, it will be easier. Hence, their push for common sense gun control. They need "common sense" gun control policies to fail first, then they can go for the jugglar of an outright gun ban.
Just like Obamacare. Democrats knew they just couldn't jump straight to single payer, so they needed Obamacare first to fail and then they could move to single payer, as we are seeing right now in the democrat debates.

I’m not part of that crowd. I’m part of the crowd that believes that kids that are allowed to play violent video games for hours each day might be doing damage to their mental health. Especially kids that might already have some mental health issues

No fricking shite, the problem is that several fricking conservatives think anyone that leans even slightly to the left wants to outright ban them, because there are too many uninformed sheep posting flat lies to social media on both sides.
What the frick are your "common sense" ideas then. Please, let us know.

I don't see the point of video games. They should tax the frick out of them, like alcohol or tobacco.

Why 25? What does a 25 year old have that a 24.99 year old doesn't have? Why not 26? Why not 27?
Should we have arbitrary age limits for other constitutional rights as well?
How would this have stopped today's shooting? You can't legally buy the weapon he used in the United States.

I don’t know how anybody can’t be mentally ill to grab a gun and just start killing random people.
Little bastard has played hours and hours on random video games doing the same fricking shooting & killing.
Do you want to regulate something?
Get some stiffer laws on the the books aimed at the video game industry that has desensitized shooting & killing people.

even the mentally ill?
Everyone has the right to drive a car when they turn 16 but if they don’t pass the test then they don’t get a license
If someone is mentally ill, yeah they have the right to own a gun, but if they can’t pass the test, then no, they can’t possess or buy a gun.
Are you that fricking dumb?

We do.
Voting age is one of them.
