Bad to predicate reopening on a vaccine since there isn’t going to be one

What is "common sense restrictions" that wont still have the economy tanked?
Half-full restaurants? they will stay closed, they dont make money this way
No events, sports, etc etc? That kill the hospitality industry, the travel industry, etc etc
There needs to be ZERO restrictions when opened, and people use social distancing, masks if wanted, less physical contact, more hand washing etc etc
This. Can we have a different country where people are willing to accept some risk?

Eddie Rispone would have, at least I’d like to believe, attempted to open up the economy like the governors of bordering states Mississippi and Texas, but nope. Thank you Republicans for JBE.

i love how i've been labeled a libcuck/doomcaster/etc. when i've basically been lockstep with Trump the entire time.
These people don't actually listen to Trump. He's said multiple times THIS WEEK that shutting everything down was a tough but correct move.

I’m just curious how long they’re going to keep the hold on doctors offices, orthodontists, dentists, elective procedures, etc.
Any dentists/orthodontists hearing anything? I chose the wrong time to get braces

And he's wrong. He's wrong about quite a few things.
It's odd you think I'm a Trumpkin.

If someone has around10-15 years left of semi good years would you want to waste 1-1.5 of those until a suitable, non rushed vaccine was out on the chance you may get covid?...I wouldn’t.
And a childhood is short as well. Our kids are going to go potentially years without little league, dance and gym, social lives?
They don't have a damn right to even make us contemplate those questions.

I bet like 20% of the population actually gets the vaccine once it is available.

They say the vaccine timeline is about 12 months from now. JBE must be intending to soft open and continue the social distancing for the next year.
Will LSU play in an empty Tiger Stadium like Fauci wants? XFL and Tulane are used to it but LSU without the 100K and Neck? Gonna be a weird fall with college football playing with a laugh track added in.
Tour de France says they are rescheduling and won't allow fans along the stages and F1 is talking racing only in Europe with no spectators. New Normal bro.

There will be a vaccine by November. The NIH vaccine is going in to large scale testing at the end of May/early June. Fauci said it will go in to production when it goes into large scale testing. Large scale testing will take 5 or 6 months.

You've said nothing with this statement.

No one is listening to Edwards anymore. He can put these press conferences in his arse. The streets are full today in Baton Rouge. His mention of a vaccine is in step with the Democratic party. We aren't listening and the Trump administration is not supporting vaccines on personal liberty grounds.

JBE won't open the state up until at least September

JBE's current state closure is just some words. He knows that and no one is listening. The Easter holiday ended it all.

So how’s that flu vaccine working out for the 10’s of thousands of people that die from it every year in the US?
We are going to wait for a vaccine, and then what are we going to do when thousands of fat asses are still dying?
Vaccines are not cures. Do some of you idiots.....JBE, realize this?

Will be interesting to see deaths in 2020 compared to previous 10 years.

There’s actually a ZERO chance of ZERO restrictions when opening up the country again.
