That’s a terrible thing to read. I will use this opportunity to show my boys how much I love them this evening.

serious question, why did you feel the need to post this?

The tragedy garnered nationwide media attention and Muzzo was eventually sentenced to ten years in jail — the harshest sentence for a first-time offender in a drunk driving case. He was granted full parole in 2021.
However, if I lived long enough that he was out of jail. He is going first.

I knew of a guy that had 7 previous DUI convictions. He got progressively more abusive during the course of his marriage until his wife finally took the two children and left. The wife and daughter had ongoing mental issues afterwards. The son eventually committed suicide. I would see that mother f.cker from time to time on work release crews and in and out of jail. Believe me the thought crossed my mind more than once to take him out. The mother and daughter are doing better, he eventually died. Just not soon enough.

That dude should have tortured and killed Marco Muzzo before he committed suicide

My grandfather was drunk one night and t-boned a car, killing a dad and his two sons. I’m not sure how long his sentence was but this happened in 2001 and he died in prison in 2013.

Impaired and distracted drivers are low forms of humans.

We need prison reform like Canada

Punishment should fit the crime.
Drunk college kid runs into ditch while drunk but nobody injured
Drunk college kids runs into ditch while drunk but kills 2 kids in sidewalk before entering ditch
Both kids drive drunk, made the same choice , one just got lucky
Should both get life in prison? It’s the strange thing with driving drunk in our society. Nobody truly cares about the crime itself, just the result of it

Somebody burns down a vacant building it's arson. Somebody burns down an occupied building it's arson + murder.

I might kill myself if I’m in his shoes but I’m taking that drunk driver with me

That’s making a separate choice though which building you burn down….Tgectwo drunk divers made the same exact choice
I’ve struggled with this logic for multiple things. Two criminals, both with the intent to murder someone. They both shoot their victims in the chest and then flee
One victim lives, one dies. Two criminals made the same heinous choice and get wildly different sentences based possibly on the skill of the surgeon at the hospital

Horrific and heart-wrenching.
No other words.

Without a doubt in my heart, he would die by my hands. I think God would understand. That is if I still believed in one after this happening.

Doesn't matter how a child dies, all parents suffer greatly. I have seen it in my family and a few friends.
