been looking the last few days but what are you really getting different between the TRD Pro and a Trail Premium other than appearance wise?

do both have pretty much the same mechanical footprint?

What’s the difference between the 4Runner Trail Premium and the TRD Pro?

TRD Pro

Trail Premium

One's only slightly uglier than the other?

IMO the TRD Premium is the better looking between the two. I'd buy one right now if I had an excuse to do so. I wouldn't paint the front end black though. That looks stupid.

The TRD Pro is overkill.

Their look reminds me of the meme:

I'm sure, given their history, you'd be able to drive one forever, though.

So now you have the TRD, TRD Premium, and TRD Pro (which you have pictured).

still confused.

ETA: all TRDs come with terrain response and I see the TRD pro doesn't come with folding rear seats or sunroof.

They both have a bunch of capability that the average owner will never use.

The wife and I looked at both last year and went with the Trail. Most of the extras the TRD Pro has is in the suspension and we decided since we were putting a lift on hers anyway, the extra $$ for the Pro wasn't worth it. She did like the TRD wheels so I put a set of them with some 33" Patagonias and put the Trail wheels and tires on my old '99. She loves it.
