Long story short, my cousin’s husband is fighting cancer. Unfortunately the melanoma on his lung has spread to other parts of his body, and at this point he’s been sent home to hospice. Even still, they haven’t given up hope, and want to try Cannabis oil.

Do these treatments actually work? What should I look for as far as quality? Thanks for any feedback.

At this point, I doubt it could hurt. Worth a try.

That’s my thoughts. I’m just not sure if obtaining it from a place like Amazon is the way to go. Maybe it is, I’m just concerned about the quality of it. Not really sure where else to source it from though.

A guy that used to live down the street from me (uber rich family) had AIDS probably from doing too much anal/needles.

Anyway, his BFF used to fly to CO every other month from Texas and pick up a trunkfull of CBD oil and then drive it back to Houston. You get the benefits minus the THC from what I understand and it really helped him deal with his pain.

FWIW, I've never done it.

Edit: HempHead knows quite a bit about it so maybe he'll chime in

It's difficult (read: basically impossible) to say whether or not it will work due to the vast individual differences in the endocannabinoid system. That said, if you're trying to get the good CBD oil, you're not going to get it on Amazon (unless things have recently changed) because most of what they sell is "hemp oil" being marketed as CBD oil. I think your best option would be to find someone in a legal (medical) state.

It doesn't get you high or anything. I tried it in some coffee, didn't notice anything. It's legal in most places now so it's not too hard to get.

I know it's been used to treat certain conditions effectively, like epilepsy.

My wife got completely off her anti depressants with the oil. She believes in it 100%. There are many stories out there about it doing some pretty good things.

That’s was I was afraid of. Just from some quick reading, quality control throughout the market is suspect. However, Germany tightly regulates the market and quality control, so I assume the higher quality cdb oil comes from there.

My grandpaw is fighting bone cancer and is pretty bad off. I have told my parents that I think he should try some to help with pain, or potentially one of those cases where it might help cure. However, besides seeing stories about potential benefits, I dont know anything else about it

give me a minute to get back to office and I’ll help get you started
my wife being alive today is in large part thanks to cannabinoids

OK here we go..

CBD is a one of the active cannabanoids found in marijuana, the other major one is THC. CBD works without the psychoactive effects (it doesnt get you high), while THC does get you high. products are available that contain all CBD, all THC and some percentage (2:1 and 1:1 are most common) with both.

do not buy CBD products on amazon; you want a reputable company based in a legal state that makes both CBD and THC products. mary's medicinals is one we use, they sell THC products in legal states, and CBD products everywhere else

MARY'S

their CBD-only line is called "mary's nutritionals"

cannabinoids dont cure cancer obviously...what they can do is help ease symptoms and side effects. if your relative is terminal, THC can help him get comfortable and ease pain, nausea, help appetite, etc.

if you want to try THC, you'll need to go to a legal state, and here is what i would recommend:

1) get a PAX Era vape pen

LINK

its 30 bucks, easy to use (no buttons), doesnt need cleaning, and is small and well-made

2) fly or drive to CO or CA, and get the THC or THC/CBD pods that work with the pen. here's some examples:

LINK

they are small, sealed, self-contained, non-refillable, and super easy to use. plus each pod lasts for a long time

i bring them home in my carry-on, or checked bag. NOTE: this is a risk, but a very small risk. the pods do not smell and are very discrete. leave them in the sealed packaging till you get home.

hope this helps, ask away if you have more questions

my wife uses the transdermal patches and the remedy oil.
both are legal to buy on-line and ship

on the patches, she cuts them in 1/2 (mainly because they are 10 bucks each...). the tincture is great, just put a drop or two under the tongue

I have this and can't recommend it enough. I would have given my left nut to have had one in the grunge days.

One thing is the oil cost as much as the pen but yes it is almost endless. 5 stars

I just ordered the remedy oil. I have OCD/general anxiety. I take lexapro daily. Gonna add a drop a day to see what happens.

Anyone know any information about Cannabis oil and pain relief? Wife has 8 herniated disks and the local Drs won't cut on her to relieve the pain. She's been on Tramadol for some time now and she wants off of them.

If CBD oil is good for pain...I hope it's an alternative...I don't know if it's legal in Alabama though. We won't try it if not legal.

relief of severe pain is generally more common with THC than CBD
can’t hurt to try
