Agreed. Would you care to join me in some douchey condescension?
Having been out of the state for some time now, it's painfully obvious that these backwoods hillbillies will never get their act together enough to rival us more cosmopolitan types. I pity them honestly.....

That's so disappointing. Every single person that votes to pass it needs to be up for recall the very next day.
Every single person on this board that actually lives in EBR Parish should contact their councilman and urge to vote against.
Email your councilman

arent they still being investigated though?
like some of them going to jail type shite?
The only people doing any sort of investigation are a few media outlets. There is no internal investigation that I'm aware of. Even the GOEA basically said they don't give a frick what the EBRPCOA is doing.
Although, I'm curious as to why Delgado's allegedly altered check story mysteriously died. He said he never wrote a check to the COA PAC and it looked like someone forged the check, but we haven't heard anything about it since.

The COA requested that the metro council have 100 folding chairs placed in the lobby area outside and in chamber were permissible. They are trying their best to get organized to filibuster. SHould be a good watch.

There's the rub.
Barbara Freiberg I believe will be the deciding vote but the rest will likely vote how their constituency feels about this. And it's pretty crazy considering she represents some of the most affluent areas of the metro area.

Wouldn't that just further delay the funding?

They're trying to intimidate the council into voting for their slush fund. That's all.

stealing from the elderly, let alone stealing from a black lady. how are people(the constituency) not pissed at this?

That meeting is going to be a shite show.

Wanna bet what stream of revenue went to pay for these political posters?

Buddy Amoroso looks to be a no vote.

Because they've been told by Gravy, Chauna Banks, et al that opposition to the organization that has no real oversight is racist.
It's racist because apparently white people don't like to see black people run organizations with big budgets (despite the fact that white folks voted for Kip twice). Of course, the only reason the COA started catching a lot of heat was because the head of the COA, as well as a COA lawyer, committed an egregious conflict of interest by writing themselves into the will of someone under their care. So, because they essentially attempted to defraud and control the estate of a black woman in their care and the black family of the estate called them out, opposition to the organization is racist. Make sense?

That looks like a poster for some C list celeb making a guest appearance at some sketchy club where you can get "VIP tickets" for $50.

It's gonna be bad. Gravy and crew are celebrating Alton Sterling's birthday, demanding Dabadie be removed, demanding Lake and Salamoni be fired, and demanding that the council pass this millage. It's gonna be a goddamn zoo.

Inviting thug arse rappers to celebrate the life of a career criminal. How fitting and somewhat sadly ironic.

there is a "surface" explanation and a "likely hidden political" explanation. which do you want?

That's because you're using logical reasoning. Stop that racist shite and use emotion to guide your thoughts.

i guess both. ive honestly havent paid much attention to this topic lately. i talked to a guy a few weeks ago at the bar who is in politics and he was pretty sure jail time was coming for some of them. after that, i just thought it was only a matter of time
