Itd be a personal medical decision if your decision didnt affect others, but it does

You are either for the greater good, or you arent

Oh for fricks sake.
Stop with that shite.
Overweight people carry higher viral loads with respiratory viruses.
Can I force them onto treadmills since their obesity puts others at "higher risk"?
Of course not.
Do thing, get shot if you want.
But, it's not yours or the government's place to force it on others.

What exactly is the greater good? Surely you don’t believe that everybody will get vaccinated and this just go away, do you? And what about the people that are vaccinated that are still getting the virus? What about the ability to still spread it even if you are vaccinated? Take job options away or not, there are people in this country that are living off of the government and tax payers that do not care one bit about a job offer with or without a vaccination. How do you entice them to get it? Let me guess, more handouts for getting the jab, or maybe we continue this giveaway stuff for one lucky person that took the vaccine. I can’t tell you how many different raffles I’ve seen at different places just for getting the vaccine. Is the at not just a little weird to you? Why do they want you to have it so bad? You do know that in reality the people running this country don’t care any more about you or if you survive from covid than they do the Americans stranded in Afghanistan they are not really worried about helping, right?

So I’m supposed to believe that they only have my best interest in mind and that’s why they are pushing so hard for everyone to get vaccinated?
I just don’t understand why I was never pushed this hard to receive the flu vaccine. A vaccine is a vaccine, right? What science do we have behind the theory that more vaccinations mean lower risk and less severe cases? This is an honest question that I don’t know the answer to, I would really like you to share if there is info suggesting such.

Is this a serious question? You can’t be this dumb.
How about how every major virus in the last century has been eradicated with a vaccine? Jfc.

Thanks for the links, that first one is a rabbit hole I’m not willing to go down…If you want to get the vaccine, absolutely fine by me. Just not sure why it has to be pushed on me or anyone else to keep their job or to travel. I’m sorry but I just don’t agree with the greater good argument. Don’t mean you are wrong, maybe that’s what this is all about, I just disagree. I have my reasons for not getting the vaccine so far, I choose to keep them to myself, but that is my decision. Just like going to the polls and voting for who I want, that’s my decision. And just like the flu vaccine I mentioned, if I choose not to get it every year, then that’s on me if I get the flu.

I would think eradicate is a strong word to use when speaking on covid and vaccines. Just judging off of Josh’s links, seems to me vaccinated people are still getting the virus and some ending up in hospitals. Eradicate to me means to remove or take away, doesn’t exactly seem like what’s happening right now. We are now suggesting to get a 3rd shot for the vaccinated. But hey, I’m the one that can’t be that dumb, right?
Posted on 8/19/21 at 10:32 pm to tigerbait01
I appreciate the respectful disagreement. But honestly its because your decision impacts others because the virus is transmittable to others
Posted on 8/19/21 at 10:37 pm to josh336
Completely understand that take on it. That’s about the only plausible argument I will agree on as to why I or anyone else should take it. But again, this is a free country. I feel like I should be able to choose. And obviously it’s coming to where I will not be allowed to go places without it, so at that point, I have to decide what to do. So far, I’m still not for it, but maybe that will change as we continue to learn more about the virus and the vaccines.

Please give me the info on how we eradicate covid with vaccines. And tell me how dumb I am again. You like to tell everyone how dumb they are or “dense” they are, back it up with some educated info. Not your opinion on the matter, give some real info. Better yet, you’ve been a big proponent of masks, why isn’t wearing the mask and being socially distanced enough this year for schools? I will tell you why in my own “dumb” way. Masks don’t protect you, never have. Just some bs that people like you ran with. You have said that you haven’t caught the virus and avoided large crowds plus wore your mask. My question to you is, how do you know you haven’t caught the virus? I haven’t gotten it either to my knowledge, but it’s also possible you and I both have had it and it just had very minimal effects on us both. There is not enough science behind masks, no where has it been proven they protect you. If anything, it’s been so back and forth, it would be easy to question if anyone that is educated to make that statement knows if they protect you or if they don’t. But I’m the dumb one, right?

They are the school board, it’s their district. What’s wrong with it?
