Eating with a fork

Yes. I lived in London for a bit and absolutely made the switch. The true reason is efficiency so as not to have to change hands with the fork at every cut. When having rice,veg, or mash one turns the tines over and uses the knife to push on top. But if you're into the extra effort to keep switching, it's not really looked down upon as improper as much as an oddity for the extra effort to appear"proper".

I take the tool and stab my food with it. I then put said food in my mouth. For more granular items, I just scoop my food with it. I have eaten in 3 European countries and they operated in a similar fashion (Italy, Sweden and Switzerland).

There may be some high class eateries where you're expected to hold the fork backwards with three fingers and poke your food, but I've never seen this. I can only assume that men who engage in that type of behavior in the US are more than likely interested in various forms of butt play.

Fork?

You shouldn't dismiss etiquette and manners, it's what allows people like me to tolerate people like you.
