Not really. It's not my thing. I've not stepped foot in a Golden Corral since 1996. But it's not trashy as long as it's clean.

Eating at Chili's doesn't make one trashy, but if you are trashy chances are you'd choose to eat at Chili's over better options.

There are good chains and bad chains. Just like there are good local spots and bad local spots. It all depends on the restaraunt and your preferences.
But yes, we can agree that Golden Corral and most buffet places are trashy. I use to love them when I was a kid. But Ive found out that the last couple of times I went I was always sick after the fact. And it wasnt from over eating.
