Eat some calves liver. (Excellent source for B-Vitamins)
Stress and anxiety can deplete your B-Vitamins.
"Vitamin B levels in the body. People may be surprised to hear that there is considerable evidence about the health benefits of B vitamins for anxiety attacks and intense level of stress."
"Having a vitamin B deficiency can cause symptoms of anxiety and stress; increasing Vitamin B levels through proper diet or nutritional supplements may alleviate mental fatigue and depressive tendencies more quickly, to achieve the balance you need to regain control of your life and happiness." LINK
Also consider fasting. Animals don't eat when they are sick. The body goes into a healing mode when fasting.
So maybe look into trying a 2 or 3 day water fast. Going thru it will give you a good sense of accomplishment.
ETA: I've heard many times and experience myself when fasting for a two or days, the mind sort of clears up. Clearer, brighter thinking.
Alternately, you may prefer the carnivore diet. This is where you eat only meat products for a while. They say to eat mostly beef I believe. And eggs. Not so much chicken and pork. I recall hearing people saying this too clears up the mind.

If you have family, turn to them. Any time someone is down, including me, it always helps to have family that always want you around and happy in the end.

It could be worse. Much worse.
Imagine you're a Siamese twin. Your brother is gay. You are not. Your brother has a date tonight. You share the same body from the waist down.

Thanks for the advice. I’m down for any help. Locking up the gun safe and watching a comedy. Just something to make it through the day. Somehow the holiday has me down... I think I’ve been on the Holy Week spirit and it just hit me that it’s all over. No more family, lonely day, too many beers. This year has been a mofo, just want a reason for tomorrow.

Try meditation. It really helped me. There are a few apps out there.

People are going to roll eyes and shite but if you want, I'll call you. Just email Mike at saodroppings@gmail.com. I'm 49. Won't judge or do a thing but listen and maybe you will listen to stories we may have in common. Who knows.

Remember to be up there must be a down.
It's an important part of the circle of life..
Jesus gave you life, he did not say it would be easy.
There is joy for the morning. Head to bed and get a good night's rest. Get up early and watch the sun come up. If you have trouble sleeping invest in a window unit. Sleep is invaluable and often is the root of much anxiety.
Get blood work if needed.
See therapy. You are not alone in sorrow.
Good luck sir.

No doubt. I recently had a couple weeks without good sleep, and it definitely affects my moods and reactions to fairly mundane things.

Maybe laughing will help. Like, you know how you're feeling now? Thank your stars you're not Mingo. He's really a miserable elf. So...

Keep Hanging on to something. There is always options to help you feel better. I have spent 3 months of my life in a psychiatric hospital, depressed, and confused. I did not see a light at the end of a tunnel but there was a solution. I made it out when I thought my life was over. Just find something meaningful to hang on to.
Find a therapist if you have insurance. Call your local church if you need a friend.
short term medication may be what you need for a four or six weeks. Do not doubt that you can get better.

A few days off meds because I’m out of town and forgot them.
I meant to come back to this. Definitely not the ideal situation, but if you ever run into that again (I trust you won't) call your doctor and have them fax a prescription for a few to the nearest pharmacy. If you realize the oversight during a weekend, and if there's no way to reach your doctor, appear in person at said nearest pharmacy and explain situation....some will give you enough to last until the next business day when you can reach doctor.
But mostly, just don't forget the meds ever again!! That's first on the list from now on.
