Where’s the better place to raise a family based on factors like; crime, cost of living, wages, schools, quality of life, etc...

Specifically Houston burbs vs Tampa/St. Pete

When you said east Texas, I was expecting you to mean some place like Tyler.

Owlie’s in the Houstonplex so pret-near anywhere else on the planet.

North Korea or Somalia get in the running.

Anyone who would rather live in East Texas over Southwest Florida needs to have their brain scanned.

SW Florida > East TX, by far

But.. Houston and Tampa i’d say are about equal, Houston might actually get the edge simply b/c of the amount of jobs and opportunities.. i dont have kids , but suburbs of either city aren’t going to be much different, just as they wouldnt be much different in Cleveland, or Kansas City, or most other places.

Tampa/ St Pete is a great place to live. I highly recommend it. The St Pete (Pinellas) Area is great.

I have a buddy moving there. What is it like? Any areas to avoid? His job is in Clearwater I think.
