I have nearly everything they make. Big fan. I also have an electric sthil and honestly it’s better than the ego. But needs a different battery.

I have an acre and the ego tools do everything i could ask. The big fan is a splurge but solid when the power is out.

Don’t know about those. But I’ve been more than pleased with that brand of leaf blower and weed whacker. Both are very powerful. I have a pretty large corner lot.

No noticeable loss of battery life after four years. And I use them weekly from March through late October.

You mentioned Stine. Memorial Day weekend they had a tax-free sale.

They had the top EGo weed eater on sale marked down from $329 to $279, plus no sales tax.

I scooped that one up quickly.

Will get the mower within the year. Neighbor let me borrow his Ego mower and it works very well for my yard.

I do have the Mac-daddy Shindaiwa gas backpack blower however, simply because I have SO many leaves. Can’t see electric meeting my needs on that anytime soon.

I'm looking at Lowe's. 200 bucks for the 2.5 all the way up to 650/700 for the 12ah.

"hundreds."

Having said that I haven't had one go bad yet. I also have Baeur power tools and quite a few batteries....I've had a charger fail, but no batteries. Yet.

I have the Ego string trimmer and was so happy with it that I recently bought the 16” chainsaw. I like the chainsaw a lot too for the application that I use it, which is cutting limbs etc around my yard.

Keep your eyes out because you will need battery with the tool…sometimes there are promotions where they offer the combination. I would wait for one of those.

ETA: There is currently a package deal with pole saw and battery. Basically gives you a free battery.

I've got a M18 chainsaw with a 16" bar. Absolutely works great. If I was cutting up trees all the time I would want a gas powered, but for just the occasional tree/limbs this thing works great.

I bought their electric weedeater a couple of years ago. It powerful, but doesn’t have much finesse to it. I cut around a lot of corners and tight spaces. Lots of gardens, beds, etc in my yard. Also edge with the eater as I’ll put my skills next to the best. Felt like I could finesse my gas eater a lot better. This electric one has a short, hair trigger to where it’s all out. Still haven’t gotten used to it and go through a lot more string.

I have about 1/2 and acre as well and one charge won’t do the job. I have their blower as well so luckily have two battery’s as it’s handy those are universal.

pretty much the same experience... also have 1/2 acre, but I have 2 batteries for the weed eater/edger combo

Electric lawn tools are convenient, no trip to get gas no tuning a carb nothing.... as easy as turning on the lights. I don't have any experience with e go.

I've had Makita for several years. The tools have a commercial feel & power. No issues with batteries and they fit everything else I use. Super happy don't miss gas at all.
Like someone mentioned if you want to fall big timber use gas the electric chainsaw has safeties that will shut the saw down if it binds or the motor gets too hot. Outside of that I like using these tools.

Makita 18v x2 = 36v
Lug nut Impact 18v
Impact 18v
Hammer drill 18v
Vacuum 18v
Mower 36v
Line trimmer 36v
Edger 36v
Extended hedge trimmer 36v
Pole saw 36v
Chainsaw 16" 36v
Blower 36v

No dog in the hunt I already had Makita tools went lawn stuff for the battery deals by a certain tool get 4 5ah batteries. I have 14 5ah and a few 3ah too.

I bought a E-go. chainsaw about a year ago. Yesterday the "Bar" tip froze up . There seems to be tiny ball bearings that malfunction. It wasn't from a lack of chain oil. The reservoir was half full.

Been running ego for 4 years now and VERY happy with them.

The way the line loads on the weedeater is a game changer. Just stick it in there and press a button, it winds up 20 feet of line itself.

I'm pretty sure my lawnmower cost less than that battery, or it's at least comparable. It's also 13 years old and might cost me $25/yr in gas.

I got an eGo trimmer and it failed in year 2. The switch kept tripping off sporadically and I think it was from sweat getting inside the housing.. it started smoking and was cooked. They sound not warranty so I will never give them another dime. It did the job ok but my Kobalt lasted much longer. Definitely disappointed given what I paid

Know how I know that you are bad at shopping? You were trying to spend an extra $100

The batteries go on sale quite often, and you can get the 5Ah occasionally under $200
