Being alone on a boat on the water can be a transformational experience. I can only imagine how much more poignant it can be after having been given a terminal diagnosis.
I have sailed all along the northern GOM. I recommend it to anyone who has the chance.
ETA: I hope this story is legit and salute this guy for doing something at the end of his life other than just waiting on death. Hell the fresh air and excitement may have helped extend his time on earth.

Yeah, those photos of him he doesn't appear too stricken. Thankfully for him , though. But, sadly of the cancer victims I've been around at life's end, they look very fragile.
