MIDDLEBURY, Vt. (AP) — Police said Monday they've been investigating a link between the 1971 disappearance of a Middlebury College student and millionaire murder suspect Robert Durst.
Investigators have been aware for several years of a link between 18-year-old Lynne Schulze and Durst, who operated the All Good Things health food store in the town, the Middlebury Police Department said in a statement.

Durst’s lawyers say his arrest was illegal. They say the timing of an agent’s inventory proves the search was illegal.
‘‘That’s an improper search,’’ defense attorney Dick DeGuerin told the judge.
He's going to walk...

He really fell apart after Limp Bizkit stopped recording music.

If there is anyone that "The Golden Rule" applies to, its this guy. He who has the gold, makes the rules. Just kills people, cuts them up and buys his way out of it. This documentary made me disgusted with the way our system works.

Saw this on CNN last night. Sounds like the general consensus is that it's going to be virtually impossible to get this 45 year old case to stick.

So, what's the connection?

I've read very little about this dude but why is the doc called the Jinx?

Because of the implications

You went to Middlebury? I went to Topbury.

He's been tangentially connected to so many deaths that, until the documentary came out, they couldn't pin on him. Also his mother jumped off the roof of their house right after he saw her up there when he was a small child.

His attorney doesn't seem too worried about getting him off.

Dick DeGuerin (sp?) is a badass motherfricker.

They ONLY charged him with 1st degree murder. He gave reasonable doubt it was an accident. If they had charged him with dismemberment, fleeing, etc. he would still be in jail. The DA royally screwed the pooch.

Most legal experts think he walks again.
Chain of custody of the letters (only solid evidence) is completely destroyed. Those letters may be ruled inadmissible. His "confession" was in a bathroom and could clearly be taken as sarcastic.
I don't think there's even a chance he gets convicted unless they have new evidence in LA they haven't revealed (most people say they don't).
