Screw the government. It's not their concern if I am trustworthy. It's my job not to truth them.

You can thank MADD for this one. Killjoys have made it a pain in the arse to be reasonably liquored up.

Got one of those just a couple of weeks ago. He was parked by the water with a woman making out and patrol rolled up on him and gave him a DUI. Keys weren't even in the ignition.

Know of someone who got one like that except he was sleeping it off. Their reasoning is he has access and can drive. bullshite, I know.

Ever since I heard that and I'm pulled over I hide my keys in the bushes. I haven't been stopped yet but I try not to be in that position much either.

I was at a late night in college where a girl got a DUi while sitting in her car.

She went to her car to sit and listen to a song with someone

I had a cousin that got one while sitting in his truck after a night drinking, sleeping, with his keys in the ignition.

Funny story because he was actually at his lawyer's parking space at his law office waiting for the office to open to meet about fighting DWI#2. Secretary or someone called a tow truck seeing a car was parked in a reserve spot not knowing someone was in the truck. Cops happen to show up and slapped him with DWI#3. True story.

In Tennessee you can get a dui if you have the keys to a disabled vehicle near you. But there's no state law against a passenger having an open container so maybe it's a wash.

Tennessee DUI laws- Steve McNair was drunk and asked his brother in law to drive him home. His in law at a check point blew a .08, Steve McNair gets hit with a DUI charge since he owned the car.

A few years later Steve McNair's girlfriend is driving her own car when pulled over by the police. (She tells the cop she isn't drunk she was just high) It was the same cop that had arrested McNair and his brother in law.

McNair doesn't personally bail her out, and two days later she shoots him while he is sleeping on the couch.

Well if that's the case then you could get a dui inside a bar or inside your house.

I got one recently. I wasn't even in the car. I was in my house asleep and the police knocked on my door and after talking to them for a minute they tried to give me a field sobriety test. I declined so they arrested.

I had been home for about an hour and got a dui.

I use to pass out in the passenger seat with the car on and A/C blasting. I thought I was doing the correct thing by not driving, guess by law, I was wrong.

Physical control of a motor vehicle.

If witness's can place you behind the wheel and operating it (such as a security guard, ect) you're culpable.

At least that's how I determined it. Some guys are more liberal and more conservative of their interpretation of the elements of the statute.

I've always heard that if you are going to pull such a stunt, take your keys and go hide them on the side of the street somewhere.

Got my 5th DWI that way. Sucked. I was sound asleep in the drivers seat when the cop awoke me.
