Do people in this thread really think this girls life should be ruined for what she did?
Yes. Lots of sinners throwing lots of stones in this thread.

I need some examples of what you define as "worse."
I have seen 2 full on fights. Real fights. Punches thrown and connected, headlocks, wrestling to the floor, the whole deal, where the participants had to be separated. One of the fights was over a girl. The other was actually over patient care.
I've seen pushing/shoving several times and countless shouting/cursing bouts.
And as far as "verbal assault" ...shite, that was nothing. There were rotations where we started each day getting our asses chewed up and down while presenting cases to our attendings. We wouldve been relieved had the bashings been as mild as this girls "verbal assault." To this day, there are ORs where you will get absolutely berated and ripped apart for the smallest error, errors made despite your best intentions and maximum effort.

Aside from the hostile ORs I mentioned-which are not representative of most ORs-these incidents were few and far between.
But some of the incidents involved very smart, very hard working, very dedicated professionals.
The point is professional are still people. And the funny thing about people is almost every single one I have ever met has good days and bad days, and makes a mistake every now and then.

While I do not agree with all the harassment she has received over this incident(she acted poorly but certainly deserves a chance to redeem herself)...I can certainly understand how this can affect her job.
She is a medical professional. She is held to a higher standard in her job, including her behavior in public. Her behavior displays her inability to handle stressors in her life. As a physician she has to be able to handle intense pressure and stress in her job...or she will crumble and potentially harm/kill a patient in the process.
Spot on. If she represented my company which is basically a service company I'd want to fire her too.

She was drunk. You can't really predict her ability to handle pressure from that video. In my experience, the residents that get a little wild on their off time are actually better at handling stress than the ones that never cut loose and probably go home and read Harrison's for fun.
However, these days one should expect to get fired if something like this gets filmed. If you play with fire, eventually you're gonna get burned.

A Miami doctor, whose actions were widely ridiculed after a video surfaced three months ago of her having a meltdown after an incident with an Uber driver, was fired Friday. The Miami Herald reported that Jackson Health System officials released a statement saying that fourth-year neurology resident Anjali Ramkissoon would be terminated. She was placed on administrative leave in January after the video of her tantrum surfaced.

Bad things happen when you act like an entitled count

Good. Actions have consequences.

if she'd like to stop by my place for phase 2 of her punishment I'm ready for her.

Can't fault anyone but herself...she has all these excuses about the incident..frick that..I don't want a person like her working on my dome unless it's the one in my pants

She's hot. I'd let her hijack my car and my cawk.

Honestly, I think this is kind of unfair. People are assholes every day. The only thing that makes this different is that fact she was recorded. I do believe she apologized. Also, why are they only just now firing her if this happened in January?

I really can't muster up any sympathy for the girl tbh. Even 3 months later

I can honestly say I've never done anything close to this.

I tend to agree. Firing her after this, if it was a one-off, seems a bit harsh. That said, after viewing the video I imagine she's pulled some other shite that went into her being fired.

Douche move by the administrators. She got drunk, did something stupid, and apologized. Everyone forgot about it two days later. Now she's fricked for life and stuck with 4 years of med school bills. Will probably kill herself in the near future because no doubt she's in a deep depression.
100% would've never happened if she didn't look the way she does and was just a regular person.
Does the punishment fit the crime? Nope. Just a bunch of internet thugs ruining an actual person's life because it doesn't seem like a real person if it's over the internet

I'm scared of the internet mob just like everybody else. But for some reason, I can't muster up any sympathy for this girl. I've been a drunk idiot many times...and never done ANYTHING close to what she did. I believe in second chances, I believe in forgiving people for stuff, but I'm perfectly fine with someone getting fired who acts like she did in that video.
There's something about it that I can't get over.
