I guess now we know where all the former REDDOGs work.
If someone doesn't go to prison over this I don't even....

As sad as this story is, I always find it hard to believe that the cops and meth head picked this guy out of all the folks who walked out of church and went to bed at 8pm.
Which is because you're an a-hole or you've never been accused by police of something you absolutely did not do.
Many years ago I was living with my wife in our first apartment. One day I got a call from the front desk that I needed to come to the office, so I did. I got there to find a uniformed officer there for me. He began questioning me for an absolutely ridiculous complaint...that I had apparently been dancing around naked in front of my window.
After laughing about it without him laughing back, I realized he was serious. I explained how I had never done such a thing, and given the way the incident was described I explained that it was physically impossible for me to have even done it because one window was completely covered by a fence and the one was obstructed by a large bed. If someone would have needed to see me naked, they'd have had to come press their face against my window. I told both he and the office staff to walk with me to my unit so that I could show them why it could not have happened. Both declined.
The office did not press charges, and with that I told them to go frick themselves and that I'd be breaking my lease and would not pe paying any penalties since they had just accused me of a sex crime without evidence and clearly this was going to be an issue for the staff.
About 6 months later after having moved, I got a call from the former complex manager calling to apologize to me because the same women that had made the complaint had made it again...and THIS TIME they actually bothers to ask the old lady WHICH APARTMENT she was talking about. Turns out it was never mine! Go figure...
But hey...good thing the old bat was only accusing me of dancing naked and not dealing drugs, right? Otherwise I could have been shot dead after my door was kicked in by SWAT and some fricknut on the internet could have suggested I probably was to blame in some way, 'cause there's no way it would have happened if I was completely innocent.

The only chance is if people contact Fox, CNN and other news outlets notifying them about the protest on Saturday. With social media, there is no reason that this story should not be the rallying call against police over reach. Sadly, I think it will only be a bunch of locals who knew him and not well organized.

Yeah can't tell you how many times I've had people make accusations of me selling meth from my home...oh wait that number would be ZERO.
What if it's a neighbor and they accidently kick down your door and shoot you?
nah...that could never happen

I can almost guarantee that no jail time will be served. All officers involved will be back at their jobs after enjoying their leave with pay.

Not saying I condone it but shite like this and no knock warrants are truly worth rioting over. They need to go the frick away and judges need to grow some balls and stop being the police's bitch.
Another innocent life lost to the state's fruitless and frivolous war on drugs.

Closest you'll get would be someone like John Stewart or John Oliver doing a show about it. Oh...you may get MSNBC do something about it but it would be drenched in politics so it couldn't be taken seriously. The flip-side is you'd never get FNC to touch it because they'd never take law enforcement to task. Then you'd have stories going bacl and forth between the two news organizations' coverage of the story rather than the actual story.
This simply will not become a national issue where a majority of regular people take notice, because it's simply too easy for people to think, "Eh...sad situation" and move on, or worse that either it was a "honest mistake" or that there is NO WAY law enforcement would make a mistake like this so the guy was probably guilty of something.
Far too many people are unaffected by tragedies like this and people generally are not all that empathetic regarding the plight of others if it effects them in no meaningful way.

The REAL problem with incidents like this isn't the cops. Its the fricking rubber stamping judges out there.
Judges should be held accountable, but obviously police tactics are a major part of the problem with these. And it is typically a prosecutor who prepares the warrant request. But, again, nobody is forcing these guys to go in guns blazing.
Supposedly the warrant in this case wasn't even the 'no knock' variety.

No knock warrants may be a good idea for truly violent criminals that pose a great threat to the community and are worth taking into custody and this idea of no knock warrants was intended for that exact scenario and to only be used rarely.
We just didn't anticipate the pussified and nutless judges that either couldn't care less or just has the same attitude as the cops and prosecutor who will abuse the frick out of this idea.
It needs to go the way of the dodo bird.

Based on the wife's account of how quickly it happened this probably didn't really matter.
