Dropping items off at Salvation Army story

I had a king size mattress and box springs I was looking to get rid of so I decided to drop it off at Salvation Army last night. I pull up and unload the mattress and I was approached by a 50 year old Indian woman dressed in India attire. She got awkwardly close to me and said:


Indian woman: I want this mattress.

Me: It’s yours. I’m about to unload the box spring.

Indian woman: I want you to bring this to my house.



I had a blank stare on my face and her 30 year old Indian daughter approaches me.



Indian daughter: Please sir. We live right over here. Very short drive. We just have a car.

Me: Ok, but I’m not coming inside yalls house. I’m unloading it and leaving.

Indian daughter: Ok, we also need you to bring these items too. She points to a pile of junk outside the store. She wants me to bring a huge dresser, night stand, kitchen table, and four chairs sitting at the drop off spot.

Me: I’m going to say No to this.

Indian Daughter: Please sir.

Me: My truck bed is full. I’m not putting any of this inside my truck. This would be two separate trips. NO.



They help me load the mattress back into my truck. I drive to their house which was 5 minutes away and I unload the mattress and box springs by the road.




Indian woman: Can you help us bring this upstairs in my house.

Me: No, I’m Not coming inside.

Indian daughter: Please sir.

Me: No, yall can do it. I’m leaving.

Indian daughter: Have you reconsidered bringing those other items. I will pay you for the second trip.

Me: I can’t. I don’t want your money. I have to go.



Then I drove away in my truck and they stood there in front of their house pissed off and they did not even tell me thank you once this entire time.
