I've seen hurricane, flood, freeze and tornado damage almost daily for the past 12 plus months. That is by far the most devastating thing I've seen.

Prayers to the people in that community.

I just can’t imagine.

I know many folks on here have been in the path of hurricanes, tornadoes and more. Growing up in the mountains of upper East Tennessee and living for several years in Chicago, I’ve seen severe flooding and blizzard like snow, but nothing even remotely close to this.

My heart goes out to everyone impacted today, and those who are still recovering from prior natural disasters. So damn tragic.

Is that Reed's video? I know he posted one, but I haven't watched it yet.

ETA: Nope, that's LSM. Reed has one, too.

Was that a tree on top of the building at the end?

Either way, that area is going to need years and years to rebuild. Holy shite, that’s terrible.

That whole town is wiped off the map. And just weeks before Christmas too. That’s awful

I think that was a school. There was another earlier in the video that also looked like a school. You could see the stage in the gym.

Man my wife’s cousin with 5 young kids that live in one of those neighborhoods were less than a mile from the path. So terrible and sad.

That’s awful. It looks like a fricking nuke went off. Tornadoes legit terrify me. Just how fast they can happen and the amount of damage they can do if you’re in their path. It’s astonishing.

I’ll take hurricanes any day of the week over a tornado (and likely an earthquake too).

What’s sad is all the BS they and the rest of the country will hear how dedicated
FEMA will be And how swift they’ll respond, then there will be the new adjusters they’ll need to brake in, it will be a long and hard battle , then the enviro wacko will blame the O & G industry . Good luck 5th all

It's never good to compare tragedies. But dollar wise tornados are small potatoes compared to hurricanes.

That’s the truths, tornados affect a path that leaves the resources outside the path accessible easier to get to for supplies and what not.

A Hurricane will cut a portions of 100’s of miles off the grid for months

My friend said at least with a tornado and the structure is demolished it’s easier to just bulldoze and rebuild.

Hurricanes aren’t always that easy. Neither are floods

Never attempted a comparison. Devastation doesn't have a scale that I know of. That said, there is some structural deconstruction that it is hard to wrap your head around in that video.
