and I blindly follow Waze without checking the route down the darkest and most scary road I've ever driven down.

I was driving to our cabin just a few miles from the main road near the strip. Instead of sticking to the main road, Waze leads me down a shorter route. I check the GPS and I see Boogertown Rd. I suggest never driving this road at night.

I've never felt such anxiety while driving with my wife and kids in the car.

Has anyone gone astray while on vacation?

Let your wife’s boyfriend drive next time. He doesn’t need a map.

What exactly about the road caused you to make this spectacle of yourself?

The real challenge is when there is snow and ice on those back roads.

There is nothing really scary in Gatlinburg. You want good ole boy scary, head over to Happy Valley. Boogertown Rd is filled with cabins and airbnbs and shite now.

Got lost one night on a mountain in Gatlinburg. GPS was not working with all the twists and turns. It sucked.

I did feel like I needed to be held when we got to our cabin.

The road was dark, windy, and filled with blind turns at night, even with the brights on.

Sevier County is so tourist driven that you're not going to run into any issues with locals and trespassing.

It's all the rural mountain counties that don't have tourism driving them that you don't want to get lost in the wrong Holler in.

I actually felt like I was driving into a Wrong Turn scenario.

Every time the headlights turned down a dark blind corner, I felt like I'd see someone waiting in the darkness.

Did this 3 weeks ago.

Waze put me almost vertical on a mountain in Gatlinburg at night, I was sweating for about an hour.

I was going so slow I had about 10 locals on my arse behind pissed off

The first time I drove the mountains around Gatlinburg was kinda fun, actually, for a flatland dweller like me.
