I can't understand the stupid fricks that don't use the cruise control on a long interstate drive. This is the frick that passes you up then a minute later you pass them up. This will go on for an hour. It drives me nuts.

Driving Phenomena

while driving next to someone, i like to put my front bumper just inside of their peripheral view and keep it there. they will speed up a little, then i speed up the same amount.

eventually they will be moving a lot faster and won't even realize it.

fun game to play on long drives.

I never drive below 100mph. Haven't had to fill up in months. #lifehack

People who don't take the opportunity to frick with their fellow travelers on long stretches of road are dull and boring.

Wait so you get over and the driver doesn't pass you? Who does this?

The same type of a-hole who doesn't get over when a faster driver comes up behind them in the left lane.

This is a driving specialty along I-20 in Alabama. I swear it's like an achievement for drivers up there to get ahead of you. Not to drive faster than you consistently, just to get ahead of you. Then they slow down.
For about a 10 year period I drove through there a lot, and got to where I could pick out the cars that were going to pass me then slow down.

The only explanation I can come up with for this is that these drivers subscribe to the "burst and coast" method of fuel conservation. these drivers understand that the 100 mph driving fuel conservation hack is flawed, so they have figured out that they can use half the fuel if they only have their foot on the gas pedal half the time. They burst up to 100 mph then take their foot off the gas and coast, they repeat the process all the way to their final destination and in the process they only use half of the gas of a 100 mph driver who thinks they are saving on gas. It is really quite ingenious when you really look into their method.

I would respect this method but this doesn't happen to me. It's the dumb frick talking on the phone, playing on the phone or fiddling his dick.

I don't think I've ever seen that (the former) or at least not consistently enough to notice.

The left lane thing though, that's an epidemic.
The Causeway (Pontchartrain) really needs to put up signs saying "Get The frick into the Right Lane.
