Yeah.

I guess it's a bit of an exaggeration because I'm not annoyed by ALL people or particularly bad at interacting with people, I'm just annoyed by MOST people and would prefer to never have to speak with them ever.

Old ladies in elevators are the worst. As soon as the doors begin closing, you can actually see their upper lip start to quiver with excitement and their eyes begin to dart around. They can't wait to tell you about how confusing the building is or how cold it is outside or ask what floor you're going to (even though your floor button is already illuminated) as they take the ride up one floor.

For the time you work you won’t make much money.

What kind of money does the scooter charging bring in and how much effort is it?

Get like 5 bucks a scooter depending on your area. It gets competitive as hell tho. They got some dudes out there grabbing 30plus scooters on one pick up

I know that comparing these national averages is probably weak when comparing to the New Orleans market. Tourist drinking and in good moods probably tip better would be my assumption

Lately I've just been using destination mode and trolling for airport runs. You almost always get a return passenger back to the city, so that's about $45 between the two rides since Uber does flat fees to and from the airport. The full trip takes less than an hour, and you usually can get one within 30 minutes or so. Airport trips usually tip as well, but not lately.

Any holiday is a huge money maker. I made $300 in just over 5 hours NYE.

The biggest tip is having the right vehicle. I use a paid off Prius that hasn't needed any extra maintenance due to the additional miles and is already basically worth as little as it ever will be. So between that and the 50 mpg the extra mileage is nothing to me.

I have no clue how the people I see doing Uber/Lyft in tundras and jeeps make money.

It'll depend on your area/market. It's still pretty new here and we don't seem to have any dickheads involved yet. Lime pays $4/each but I don't mess with them often as there's not very many of them and they're heavy as hell. Bird's pricing depends, anywhere from $3 on up to $20 for ones that are lost. I try to average ~$5 each, I'll usually grab the $3 ones if they're super easy or in a group that I'm grabbing and don't have to work hard. I charged 31 last night for $263, that was the most I've ever done though. I've had a couple days that average out to over $10/scooter. At most I'm spending 1-2 hours picking up/setting to charge at night, and 1-2 hours putting them out in the mornings.
