Driving etiquette - courtesy wave

Earlier today let someone in the center turning lane over, the drivers in the next two lanes stopped their progress to let him over so he could end up in the right lane. Not mad at him bc if I'm him finding 3 nice drivers to let me get over would be awesome but what's so hard about giving the courtesy wave when clearly they're being kind when they don't have to and in a way they're inconveniencing themselves for your convenience?
Courtesy wave: expect it? Give it? Minor "WTF" thought when you don't get it?

The quicker you realize the average person is a douche the easier your life will be

Like I said I wasn't mad more disappointed, just curious how other ppl view the courtesy wave.

I usually just wave my gun at them to let people know I am merging.

If I go out of my way to let someone in they better wave. If they don't I have half a mind to run them off the road

Kind of like a "well frick you too."

More often than not, other people on the road make me want to wave, but use only one finger.

Life is much easier when you accept that people as a whole are scumbags.

Driving is much less stressful when you acknowledge that letting that driver in will have virtually no impact on your commute time.
And yes, I typically give a courtesy wave or occasionally a beep.

That reminds me of the blinker debate. I get that a ton of ppl are driving superstars who don't need to use blinkers bc they're so awesome, but you use it because you never know what dumbass is driving the car next to you.

Has anyone outed whose alter this is yet??

A nice little, "frick you very much" is said if I don't receive one.

I give the courtesy wave & get pissed if I don't get one.
Road rage is. Real thing. People get crazy behind the wheel.

I get legit angry and scream "where's my thank you waive bitch" when I let someone in and they don't give me a waive or a headnod.
In fact, it pisses me off so much that I won't let anyone else in the rest of the day. No exceptions.
I find it that rude and that person who can't give a simple thank you waive ruins it for everyone else.
While we are on the topic, how about when there's a clear and obvious traffic backup and those MFers who try and bypass the ENTIRE thing and expect someone to let them in just because there is no more road and the left blinker is on?
My windows down, I look right at them and say "no". That or I shake my head and say "no".
There's a special place in hell for those bastards that try and cut in line like that.

Use a blinker? Are you nuts? If you were a general, would you announce troop movements to the enemy?

I always give the wave and get pussed when I don't get it

It bothers me when it's a green light an someone continues to let people in then I miss the green light. Had one the other day and lady keeps letting people in and she can see in rear view mirror that I'm not happy so she gave me the " I'm sorry wave". So it was all good.

Why are there so few courteous drivers where you are? The signal is the indicator to let someone over. Work together people.
