I do this even when I go pick up my husband from the airport when he travels for work(he usually gets back in the late afternoon/evening). Get there early enough to sit at one of the bars enjoying a glass of wine before the security gate close to where he'll be walking off the plane.

Great people watching and no one cares if you are sitting by yourself with a drink and your kindle at the bar.

Ahhh, one of life's simplest pleasures

Yep. I’ve had several lengthy delays when traveling with the wife in Europe where I was kinda bummed when we actually boarded. Airport bars are awesome, especially at airports where people are going all over the world.

Well Jack is pretty shitty whiskey so the Coke helps add flavor.

I do it to calm my nerves before getting into the cockpit.
