Please point to something today in our laws or policies from either a federal or state level that is racist against minorities. Not things from the past, systematic laws from today.
The argument is not “does pst incidents have trickle down effects through the future?”

If a country has a racist past that 2 other posters here have admitted still has effects in present day, how am I so horribly wrong?

I wholeheartedly disagree with Burrow right here. Honestly, growing up where he did, he should know better than to espouse that nonsense. He grew up in one of the most poverty stricken areas in the US, and it's mostly made up of white people.

You can't just frick people's lives for centuries, then stop actively fricking them and say "quit your bitching and grab your bootstraps, you should be completely fine now!"
I'm not excusing people who fall into violence or anything and blame it on their situations. I'm saying it's harder to make something of yourself when you don't have certain advantages. And these situations happen mostly within the black community directly because of what this country has done to them since the beginning.
