Stop being obtuse. You know perfectly well that this country isn’t built on free speech and you can only say out loud opinions in line with liberals and blm.

Honestly, on a much smaller scale, this just reminds me why I stopped helping others. You give and you give and you give, but no matter how much you do, people will turn on you the second they can. Thanks Brees for reminding us that people will easily turn on you despite all the good you have done.

It’s a fundamental misunderstanding of what the kneeling was about

What is the kneeling about? If I ask 10 different people I’ll get 10 different answers.

It’s “what have you done for me lately” on a worse scale.

Get off the internet bro. This is obviously not true outside of the Twitter echo chamber.

Brittany or Melania?

Which one to choose?

This is the problem with Liberals. There’s no gray area. It’s either black or white. If you agree with 95% of what they say but disagree with the other 5% you’re a Nazi and a Racist.

YOU’RE EITHER WITH US OR AGAINST US.
SILENCE IS GUILT.

Life is complicated and everyone goes through different struggles. If everyone had the same opinions the world would suck.

just hopefully Brees doesn't bow down and apologize for his views. if he makes a statement saying that the interview was taken out of context (because like everything else that goes viral, it was), then fine, but don't apologize for your views. there is absolutely nothing wrong with what he said. he was very sympathetic to what's going on and just gave his opinion (when directly asked) about using the flag and anthem to protest.

if you disagree with his opinion that's fine, but it doesn't give you the right to demonize a man who has single handily done more for New Orleans than anyone else over the last 15 years.

just last month this man donated $5 million towards meals for local families who cannot afford them during the Covid lockdown. that's just one of countless things he's done for the community, but even that alone is more than what 99% of these celebrities and white SJW's who are demonizing him have done combined.

You obviously aren’t getting sarcasm.

I don’t get the all of the hate towards Brees. If you want to point that the kneeling was in protest to police brutality, not the flag itself, that’s a valid point. But to call him a racist and paint him as a villain is wrong. He has done a lot of the community. He doesn’t have to. He could have kept all of the money he donated. There are plenty of rich assholes, athletes included, who don’t give a dime to the community.

Knee before or after. Cuck

But... that defeats the whole purpose..

I have zero desire to kneel during the anthem, but kneeling at some random moment when everyone is stuffing nachos into their face hole doesn't exactly make any kind of stance. The whole point, as explained by those who kneel, is that they will not stand for our country's anthem until there is equality for all in this country (since the the anthem is, ya know, about that).

I don't really care one way or the other because I am usually stuffing nachos into my face before, during, and after. But I understand why people do it.

FWIW -- I don't agree with the current rioting, don't agree with the social media insanity current taking place, don't agree with demonizing Brees, etc. Just was speaking on the kneeling thing. I don't have to take part in the action to understand the intention behind it.

Melania looks like someone is standing behind her pulling her face back 24/7. Face so tight she can't even smile all the way

Brittany B in a landslide.

He never said he is misunderstood the reason for kneeling. He just disagrees with using the National Anthem and the American Flag as time to kneel. He himself kneeled with all of his teammates prior to games in 2017 before the anthem played in solidarity. He himself has donated millions of dollars to local charities and has partaken in many community outreach programs to better the area.

He said what HE thinks of when the anthem plays and what it means to him and went so far as to say it's not solely his grandfather or any other member of the armed forces he thinks of. He thinks of those that have given their lives for justice in the civil rights movements of yesteryear and today.

People are putting words into his mouth and making snap judgments and assumptions about a man who, I believe, has more than earned the benefit of the doubt from his teammates and from people in New Orleans and all across Louisiana. You want justice? You want equality? Not only seek betterness from others but also be willing to hear their opinions in return. That's dialogue.
