It's such a catchy dune! Toto's Africa will play on a permanent loop in the Namib Desert as part of solar-powered art installation hidden among the sands
Six speakers will blast the 1982, quadruple platinum song on an infinite loop
Namibian artist Max Siedentopf said he hopes to 'keep Toto going for all eternity'
He wants to 'pay song ultimate homage and physically exhibit "Africa" in Africa'

Not sure what type of protecting paint is on that stuff, but the sun is going to tear that shite apart. 3 likely outcomes.....

a) it's gonna get stolen (highly likely and soon)

b) sun and sand damage it beyond repair within 3 years

c) some fricking nomad that is sick and tired of listening to that song on repeat is going to break it apart and let his camel use it as a chew toy

I bless the rains being played in the middle of the desert.

Seems fitting.

It doesn't rain much in Namibia and depending where he puts this it's unlikely it will get many visitors.

Won’t the dunes eventually shift and cover up the speakers?

shite like this is the beginning of unsolved mysteries.

The world as we know it ends soon, and hundreds of years later whoever is populating the earth stumbles across the speakers blaring Toto.

Modern day Stonehenge IMO.

Imagine the disappointment when a guy stranded in the dessert hears music and thinks he's rescued only to find that shite.
