Ecclesiastes 3:18-22:

Is the lesson that everything is replaceable?
Nah, the kid has to know what happened and mourn his pet. This is a part of life every child with a pet goes through and it's an important conversation for parents to have with their kids. Getting a new dog right away would be sweeping it under the rug and would send the wrong message. This dog was a part of the family. When it's time for a new pet, the family will know.

Sorry for your loss bud... It is amazing how they become part of the family and I hope you guys cherish the memories you had with your pup.

I wanted to thank everyone for the well wishes and prayers. Feel a little better today but it will hit when we get home from work and she is not there. We will get another dog eventually but not sure when that time will be

That sucks man! It's a shame that it's a part of life and you never get used to. At least you had the time you had together. Some dogs leave a bigger hole in your heart than some people in life.
We still talk about our Cole(big black lab)who we had to let go of 10 years ago and we have him on a shelf. Hang in there and never forget the good times!
