It's kinda darkly amusing to read how the US left switched on a dime after the Hitler/Stalin pact, and later invasion of Russia. Dalton Trumbo, author of the antiwar bestseller Johnny Got His Gun, adamantly opposed the US entering the war -- until Russia was invaded. Then he became a prowar activist -- to the extent of forwarding antiwar letters he got from JGHG fans to the FBI.

And I don’t think he was suggesting what is right for him should be right for you. But your absolute judgment on others who struggle in their marriage seems like you aren’t really aware that many people are different and value different things.
I’d guess you have been hurt by infidelity before in some way which is why you have such a hardline. Projecting that emotional pain point onto everyone else isn’t exactly a healthy way to understand your fellow human beings. It’s like a phobia and it’s an irrational response. Might want to talk with a professional at some point about that.
