Also: don't write your SSN down on the 27 forms they give

They don't need it on 20 forms! They have enough info for billing.

Always make appointments close to 5pm

They get way more efficient when it’s close to time to go home

this is my experience with my dr, as well. An appointment takes about 3 hours of my time.

The last time I needed an appt, they scheduled me with a smoking hot nurse practioner. Id honestly prefer to just see her from now on. It was the most informative and efficient appointment ive had in years.

Pretty sure most doc offices count on no-shows to make the schedule work. If everyone happens to show up, they have no chance of seeing everyone even close to on time.

I'll leave. frick em.

I have more misdiagnoses than correct diagnoses. I'm not wasting half a day to get screwed again.

Of course, whether they are right or wrong, you have to pay, and if you no show, they'll charge you.

I scheduled the first available appt with a dr and thought this will be great. He was 45 min late

Patients also complain when they arrive 30min early and are not taken early... It doesn't work that way.

Would you rather your doctor spend his continuing education time on business management courses or on staying current on the latest medical trends?

I did have a 7:20 appt 2 weeks ago on a Friday morning. My PCP came to get me out of the waiting area at 7:10...that was refreshing

The earlier the better for appointments. As the day goes on, people arrive 20min late and still demand to be seen. Thia pushes the other appointments back and partly why they are behind. This is why many are making patients reschedule and charging office visits for late appointments and no shows.

Yet, if something came up this morning and you couldn't make the appointment they would bill you for it.
