You are so bent out of shape about HFCS. There's not a damn thing really that has HFCS that should be eaten in the first place even if you replaced it with sugar. The HFCS is part of the problem but the bigger issue is eating whatever has it anytime.

thank you

shouldnt be eating the shite that has hfcs anyways, even if replaced by real sugar...atleast 90%+ of the time

again none of that matters. once calories and protein are equated...we lose bodyfat at the same rate...no matter if the rest of the calories come from hfcs or from fruit or from animal fat

But when we eat hfcs we don't feel full so we eat more...more calories.

When we eat proteins we feel full very quickly...less calories.

Wood pulp (cellulose) in parmesan cheese as an example.

You are dumb. Cellulose is a naturally occurring fiber in fruits and vegetables

As an example of a unnecessary for consumption cost saving measure.

I never said that cellulose was bad or unhealthy.

Then what is the lowest hanging fruit to make America healthy?

Why was the population so much skinnier before the 90s?

we ate less and moved more

fastest way to make americans healthier would be implement true La Seirra style PE program starting in Pre-k

second would be preaching the health benefits of walks, especially 10 min walks after each meal

third would be stop telling people its ok to be frickign fat and pretending its healthy

fourth would be to start preaching the benefits of real strength training and propping up people that look damn good

fifth would be preaching the benefits of whole foods like meat, eggs, potatoes, rice etc

no we agree there. i was saying...im not gonig to worry to try and find a solution to a problem that does not even exist yet everyone can find meat, real meat. you are worried about something that you think may happen in the future, and i was saying if something like that does happen....i will be fine

Do you think it’s possible that a lot of our societies problems are because everyone’s fricking 30% gayer than they used to be? Lol

And if so do you think that might be because of plummeting T levels? And if so do you think it’s because of the quality of the available slop everyone’s eating (and have always eaten, it just used to be better slop)?

That’s why I care. Long tail consequences that will reach over into your nutritionally sound bunker.

no shite

doesnt change the fact that once calories and protein are equated...what we eat matters very very very little.

but keep focusing on hfcs.

I think with sodas I get more addicted to the carbonation than the sugar. I am not a beer drinker but a good dose of a carbonated beverage after cutting the grass is so good. Even drinking the sugar-free version is still very bad for you, though. I cut them out for like 3 years but recently started again like a crack addict falling off the wagon. I need to stop.

I like the carbonation too so I switched to flavored sparkling water. Not sweetened, just natural flavors. Much better fir you, still carbonated

avoid added sugars

you are so wrapped up with HFCS (which is 45% glucose/55% fructose), but added "healthy" sugars like agave are 90% fructose

I think the problem is how prevalent it is. We all know we should not be pounding regular sodas. But, I'm not sure if people really understood until the last few years how much of it is in bread, ketchup, bbq sauce, etc. I was surprised to see it is in some non-sugared cereals.

that stems from 2 things imo

1) lack of fathers in the household. the nuclear family has been vilified. less than 23% of males grew up in a family with mother and father. 77% of teachers are female. so most males go through the day having zero interaction with strong males

2) we have made it cool to be gay in the media. we have vilified masculinity. we have made being a pussy and being gay and feminine cool because females have taken over everything from head of household, teaching and the media.

T levels are plummetting because we have crushed things like lifting weights, eating protein and overall the things i spoke about earlier

i think it has some to do with diet, but not for "chemicals" in our food.

it would just be real sugar replacing it, same amount of calories

like i said....we have dozens and dozens of extremely well controlled studies and tons of meta analysis that show once calories and protein are equated we lose body fat at the same rate.

we have no studies that show the same for keto or carnivore and tons of studies on those diets that show what i posted

and ftr i eat mainly IF with keto/carnivore but thats just my preferred eating pattern that allows me to hit my macros most consistently.

Lighten up Francis. I’m not saying the healthy version of Fruit Loops is good. I’m just saying in general we allow crap ingredients in a ton of foods that really have no business being in there and we have a major federal organization thats JOB is to make sure bad stuff isn’t in our food.

Maybe RFK can just force companies to put a giant cigarette style warning on any food product with seed oils in them lol.

“Feel free to eat this bag of chips with a giant skull on it, lil pig”

not really. The main ingredient might be healthier but any major chain grocery store only sells ultra processed cereal

Only? Have you been inside a store recently? Honest question? I think tons of you guys on here never grocery shop

ETA: Besides that point, I would argue that cereal in general really isn't a good breakfast option to choose from in the first place

yea its all comes from the 4 main meat packers- 3 of the top 4 are owned by foreign companies. Tell me how that makes any kind of sense
