I would call it consumer church. It's essentially a place where you go to be motivated and to feel better about yourself, not to actually worship the Lord. I view many of these churches almost in the same light as a self-help seminar, and they always seem to singularly focus on how God can make your life "better", but often times their definition of better is a worldly one.
This is pretty much how I see all mega churches.

I’m not an Andy Stanley fan but I do think he’s a Christian and he preaches Christ crucified. Everything else is fair game, but I don’t have reason to believe he has nefarious ends.

Loved to hear his Biblical teachings.
One of the all-time greats of our time.
He is now walking with Jesus.

Dr. Stanley? From Livingston Parish, I presume?

I never listened to Dr Stanley.
I enjoyed listening to D James Kennedy

I am not a fan of Andy whatsoever, but his dad was a phenomenal Preacher, teacher and man of God! I listened to his sermon’s relentlessly when I was in discipleship training! Rest in peace, Dr. Charles! You served well!

It was a divorce. That's it.
My Baptist church in the 90s had a split over letting divorced men be deacons.

I missed that. Were the reasons disclosed?
Did they have a pool boy?

But I’ll double down and say that the emphasis of a seeker sensitive church is not the life, death, and resurrection of God took on flesh.
I think that's certainly how we think many seeker sensitive churches end up.
I think plenty of churches prioritize outreach, missions, reaching the modern lost and still preach the Gospel. The bigger they are and the bigger the personality at the center, the less often those churches seem to keep the main thing the main thing, though.

He was a very good preacher and teacher. I listened to him for years. Very knowledgeable guy!!

That would be discipleship - a heavy dose of justification > sanctification > glorification....being poured out. Development of a humble heart

I was a member at North Point. Andy is an amazingly talented pastor.

Preached without any notes and only his Bible in his hand. Amazing.

Prosperity Gospel preachers. Joel Osteen, Paula White, Creflo Dollar(??), Benny Hinn, Joyce Meyer, Ken Copeland among others...
They give protestants a bad name. But Romanists can't judge either with sell of indulgences, among other falsehoods and boy didling.
Bad apples all around.
Study the Bible AND study Church history. See explosion of denominations in 1800's. Really weird times. But today, churches betray their people. Better to gather silently in homes among Christians and pray and study HIS Word.

Kinda true, but I visited a mega church in Rockwall, TX. The sunday school classes were just social planning for parties for the next weekend(Fri or Sat).
The preacher and associate preacher were awesome!
One Sunday Q&A sermon/session....question came up. Is it ok for teens to drink alcohol? Preacher: "You can drink alcohol, that is not a sin. Getting drunk is. However! "Honor thy father and mother" commandment. If mom and dad do not want you to drink and you drink, you dishonor them. Thus you are in sin. BOOM! moment. Same with out-of-wedlock sex. If dad and mom are against and you do it, you are in sin. End of story.
Main reason I'm a born again virgin post divorce. I'm not gonna go down that road of sin. Besides, under God's law, we're still married, she just quit to be a whore like her friends.

I have a friend who’s wondering if your whore ex-wife or any of her friends are single.
He’s shy, so he asked if I’d ask you.
