most women rant about confidence is a must have trait for their partner but society is beating it out of boys from a young age. it's a sad scary place we live in nowadays

I think it also has to do with how much men have relinquished public policy leadership, and are allowing women and their emotions to dictate societal norms - which eventually seeps into even the most solid nuclear families as they're inundated with the way they're "supposed to be."
Women are not hard wired to lead families or society. When they're thrust into those positions, it creates instability for everyone.

When you are not allowed to be a boy you will never grow up to be a man. Boys get dirty, rough house, break stuff. They learn by hands on.
